Completed basic in Nursing (Certificate) in August 1985. She has been awarded the Diploma Of Higher Education For Health Care Professionals by University of Northumbria at Newcastle, UK in June 1998. She also graduated with Bachelor of Science in Nursing Practise Development from the same university in October 2009. She had attended and awarded Otorhinolaryngology Short Course Program (3 months) in 2005, Surgical Nursing Short Course Program in University of Tasmania, Australia (2009) and Infection Control Short Course Program in Hospital Kuala Lumpur (2010).
She had 34 years of experience in Clinical areas, Nursing Education and Nursing Management. Her areas of expertise are Surgical, Infection Control, Midwifery and Otorhinolaryngology (ORL). Puan Mahani has served in Hospital Sultanah Aminah Johor Bahru as Staff Nurse in Operation Theatre, Polyclinic Mini Operation Tehatre and Medical Ward for 12 years. She then contributes her service to Johor Bahru Nursing College as a Clinical Instructor in charge of Orthopedic Ward, Surgical Ward and Gynae Ward in Hospital Sultanah Aminah Johor Bahru for basic student in Nursing Course before pursue her Diploma.
She started her academic portfolio as a Lecturer at Johor Bahru Nursing College in 1999 and later to Segamat Community College. Teaching the Diploma In Nursing on Medical and Surgical Nursing with Obstetric Syllabus and involved in teaching of Research for Advance Diploma In Midwifery (ADMW-2017). She had contributed to be teached in Post Basic ORL, invigilator and VIVA Examiner. She becomes the lecturer in charge of Diploma In Nursing and the lecturer in charge of Certificate Community Nursing programs. She was also appointed as the Coordinator for the Fundamental of Nursing Subject and Examination Secretary for Psychiatric Course in Johor Bahru Nursing College.
